Indian Shores Beach
The community of Indian Shores has kept the “old Florida feel” with many beachside cottages. There are many well maintained condominiums for rent from private owners and management companies too. Management Companies for the central/south region include JC Rentals, Sunsational Beach Rentals, Total Realty Services and Resort Realty. The condo lined beaches at Indian Shores are peaceful and lovely, a popular location with couples is the Barefoot Beach Resort. There are a several special restaurants nearby, such as The Salt Rock Grill and the Pub Waterfront Restaurant in Indian Shores. Just south of thee town of Indian Shores is Redington Shores & Madeira Beach, a favorite resort on Madeira Beach is the Madeira Bay Resort.
Treasure Island
Treasure Island is home to a couples’ choice resort, Sunset Vistas Resort. Note the resort’s special offer here. This friendly beach town is also home to world famous Thunderbird Beach Resort along with the Tahitian Resort, South Beach condo Resort, & the Treasure Island Ocean Club. Located at the end of Central Avenue in the heart of this casual beach town, the privately owned facility has welcomed Resort wedding couples and family vacations since the 1950’s. Feola’s Italian Restaurant inside the resort offers delicious & affordable meals in the courtyard or banquet room. The Thunderbird’s tiki bar, next to Treasure Island’s mile beach sidewalk, is a fun place for drinks and “Jimmy Buffet” style entertainment. As we travel south, we come to the Bilmar Resort, then we come to the Island Inn at the end of the island. A condo hotel has a terrific beach for weddings.
St. Pete Beach
Further south is St Pete Beach. You will find a few larger properties and many small “Ma and Pa” motels that are terrific for family groups. A favorite is The Plaza Beach Resort. The Alden Resort is privately owned and well known for its family friendly atmosphere. For a nominal fee, this property uniquely offers a lawn, chairs, and tables with linens next to the sand where you may bring your own food (as long as your group is staying there). Another popular resort with a big following and fun tiki bar is The Bon Aire. If youre looking for a resort with man options, Dolphin beach resort has many, with its world class tiki bar, banquet halls & an on site restaurant, youll keep everyone in your group happy! Most properties within the central/south properties don’t charge site fees for weddings that occur at their beach. (Ask our Wedding Concierge for specific details please)
